Registration
We recommend that all U.S. citizens register with the Department of State on the Internet Based Registration System (IBRS) , particularly if you plan to stay in Tanzania for several weeks or longer. Registration is voluntary, but may prove useful in the event of an emergency or if your passport is lost or stolen. Once registered your names and e-mail addresses will be added to our distribution list for newsletters and announcements published by the Consular Section. Leaders of group tours should ask that there group member personally register online prior to their visit to Tanzania
