President Kikwete Reinforces Health Partnerships with U.S. Military

President Jakaya Kikwete bidding farewell to U.S. Army Colonel Kent Kester (Center), Commander of a delegation of medical researchers from the U.S. Army. The delegation held discussions on Friday, October 9, 2009 with President Kikwete on strengthening the U.S. Department of Defense’s partnership with the Tanzania People’s Defense Forces (TPDF) in the areas of HIV/AIDS care and treatment, HIV vaccine research, Malaria and Avian Influenza. President Kikwete thanked Col. Kester for the continuing support to Tanzania both in the military and civilian sectors.
