Test Centers Information

The following are the test centers contact information:

1. The Computing Center of the University of Dar es Salaam administers Internet Based TOEFL (IBT), Computer Based GRE, ACT (America College Test), GED (General Educational Development Exam), and many other tests. This center also conducts Institutional TOEFL Test. This test is not recognized by many institutions, therefore before one takes this test they should communicate with the schools they are going to, to see if they will accept the test.

(What's the difference between the Institutional TOEFL and the International TOEFL? The Institutional TOEFL is the TOEFL that is given by an "institution" (such as a company or a language school) so that they can measure the English level of the people who take the test. The score you receive from this test is NOT accepted by every university in the world. However, many colleges will accept a TOEFL score from the Institutional TOEFL. If you want your TOEFL score to be accepted at every university in the world, then you need to take the International TOEFL. You may be able to administer this institutional TOEFL at USAID to your students as a last resort.)

3. International School of Moshi, the Center administer paper based test. Contact Email: ceo@ismoshi.org

4. The Institute for Information Technology (IIT) is the only centre in Tanzania that offers GMAT exams. However, they are only a testing centre and so they do not offer any study material or tuitions related to GMAT.

GMAT registration can be done online by logging in to http://www.mba.com/ . The cost of registering GMAT online is $250. Another option is that of registering with the centre whereby the candidate will be required to go to the center and fill in the required form and make payment of $300.
